Great TV Show Theme Songs No.2

It's usual to love the theme song of the tv series you're into, but it's not that usual to sing it a long time after you've finished that particular series. What's even more unusual, is when the theme belongs to a series that can't be considered one of the most successful, even though it was really good. One of these rare cases is Firefly, a series that was created by Joss Whedon the creator of some other shows that you might have heard of: Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, Angel and director of one of this year's biggest box office hits: The Avengers
Firefly is a rare case because it was a beautiful series, with a very nice plot, great characters and daunting environment but it was killed by the network that showed it. Fox presented the episodes in no order and without advertising them properly. However, the series has many dedicated fans even 10 years later and its actors look at full halls whenever the attend a convention. This year, the series celebrated its 10th year anniversary at San Diego's Comicon and let me tell you, it was quite an emotional presentation.
Starring Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Jewel Staite, Adam Baldwin, Morena Baccarin, Sean Maher, Summer Glau and Ron Glass, the series follows the renegade crew of a spaceship called Serenity. The crew tries to survive as they travel in the unknown corners of the universe where they meet many dangerous (or not) people on different planets while evading the authority agents who try to get them.
The theme song was written by the show's creator Joss Whedon. Enjoy!

The series, which ended abruptly after 14 episodes, was followed by a great film called Serenity. If you're into science fiction and westerns (the series is a space western) do yourself a favour and check it out. It's shiny!
