personal views on movies... and some other things

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" has a trailer!

Can you imagine that it's been 4 whole years since we were last transported to the magical world of Harry Potter
If you've been a fan of that once-in-a-lifetime literary and cinematic phenomenon (and most importantly, if you've been a true potterhead such as myself) then you must have been feeling some king of nostalgia over that wonderful era when the whole world was waiting for the next book and the next film in the series.
Well, the wait is over. J.K. Rowling, the successful author of this heptalogy, returns with her own screenplay and she wants to tell us another story that takes place in her magical universe. This time, we travel to New York and we follow the story of Newt Scamander (the Oscar-Winner Eddie Redmayne has the title role), an acclaimed magizoologist whose job is to find and document all the magical creatures of our world. Scamander makes a brief stop to New York and there he manages to get into trouble as he loses some of the animals he's been carrying in his briefcase, thus putting the whole magical community in danger of it being revealed to the Muggles (the non-magical people who, as Rowling has informed us, are called No-Maj in the USA).
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a Harry Potter spin-off that is once again directed by David Yates [director of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, (2007) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, (2009) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts 1 & 2, (2010-11)] and stars not only Eddie Redmayne but also Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight and Ezra Miller
It is based on the small companion book that was written by J.K. Rowling in 2001 in order to raise money for a Comic Relief charity.

The film is going to be released in November 2016.
