Striking Scores Vol. 3

Soundtracks always play a big part in a movie, because if they are right, they can make even the worst film. On the other hand, if they are bad they can destroy even the simplest movie moment. So, every now and then I am reminded of a beautiful soundtrack that has touched me; a soundtrack that whenever I hear, I travel back to the first magical time I watched a movie. And truly, there is no comparison to the first time you experience a work of art.

So, this time, we revisit one of the most iconic musical moments in cinema history: the Blade Runner (1982) soundtrack composed by greek composer Vangelis. Using synthesizers and intense bass lines, this is definitely a true '80s film score. But it is so atmospheric, immersive and it so rightly embraces Ridley Scott's movie that it can only be considered successfully timeless. So, here! Enjoy! And go watch Blade Runner 2049!
