personal views on movies... and some other things

Steven Spielberg 's "The Post" has a trailer

Awards season is approaching rapidly and with it, the major movies of the year are starting to make an appearance. Steven Spielberg is the newest entry in the race and he surely brings the big guns with him. His newest film is a drama based on the true story of the partnership between the first female publisher of the major American newspaper The Washington Post and an editor as they try to bring to light a huge cover-up of governent secrets which had been going on for more than three decades and during 4 different presidencies.
Starring Academy Award winners Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Alison Brie (The Room, 2015) as well as Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story, The People vs O.J. Simpson), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek, 2009), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) and Bradley Whitford (The West Wing) The Post is a highly-anticipated film and one of the two new films directed by the impeccable Spielberg, creator of classics such as Jurassic Park (1993), Schindler's List (1993), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Catch Me If You Can (2002), Jaws (1975), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), E.T. (1982), Minority Report (2002), Bridge of Spies (2015) and so many more.
It also marks his fifth collaboration with Tom Hanks and his first with Meryl Streep (if we do not count her small vocal cameo in AI:Artificial Intelligence). The Post is also the first on-screen collaboration of these two amazing actors, so it will be nice to see them working together at last. The film comes out in selected theatres this December and everywhere in January.
