Striking Scores Vol.1

One of my favourite things to pay attention to while I'm watching a film is the score, and that is the music that is composed specifically for a movie. Because, lets's admit it. If the music isn't good then half the film is completely doomed. It is on the composer's hands to create the specific feelings that the director wants to communicate to the audience. And many are the examples of films that were ruined by their unsatisfactory score.
But many are the scores that have stayed with us over the years, because of their staggering relevance to the movie they were serving, or their unforgettable main theme. And "Striking Scores", this new category of articles, will address those scores that were able to do just that.
It is no easy task to create the proper atmosphere for a movie and that is why few are the trully successful composers that have passed the test of time and have been able to deliver the right soundtrack every single time.
Today, we are going to listen to the score of one of this past week's most talked-about movie:Robert ZemeckisBack to the Future. If you surf on the internet a lot, you must have heard that the 21st of October 2015 is the day that Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) time-travels to, in the second film of the trilogy. This Wednesday was even named "Back to the Future Day" and both Fox and Christopher Lloyd (as well as other BttF stars) made appearances to many talk shows during the week.
The recognizable theme was composed by none other than the great Alan Silvestri (composer of Forrest Gump (1994),Contact (1997), Death Becomes Her (1992)). Here it is, enjoy!
