It's only been a few hours since I first told you about the new film by director Ridley Scott [Alien (1979), Prometheus (2012) and Blade Runner (1982)] who this year returns with a sci-fi based on the very successful debut novel by Andy Weir. But look at that! Now we also have the first trailer for the film.
The Martian tells the story of Mark Watney, an astronaut, botanist, mechanical engineer and member of the 3rd manned mission to Mars, who accidentally is left behind on the surface of that menacing planet and has to find a way not only to survive but to communicate with Earth and tell everyone that he is still alive. Matt Damon plays the title role and is accompanied by Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Kristen Wiig,Jeff Daniels, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mackenzie Davis, Aksel Hennie and Sean Bean.
